Delhi has been witnessing a drop in temperatures as rainfall brings temporary relief from the hot weather in the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Saturday (June 13) due to rain. The minimum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the weather forecast states: "Partly cloudy sky. A spell of very light rain/light rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and strong winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, towards the afternoon/evening." For Delhi residents, this weekend could bring rain and thunderstorms. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Saturday, while Sunday's (June 14) forecast reads: "Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development towards afternoon/evening." However, no alert has been issued for Sunday. On June 14, the minimum temperature is expected to range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. On June 15, the minimum temperature is expected to oscillate between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. The weather conditions are expected to remain "partly cloudy." Further, on June 16, the IMD has forecast: "Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development towards afternoon/evening." The minimum temperature is expected to range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius. Lastly, on June 17 and June 18, the IMD has predicted: "Partly cloudy sky." The maximum temperature is expected to range between 39 and 42 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. IndiGo Issues Passenger Advisory Meanwhile, IndiGo released a travel advisory citing adverse weather conditions and notified passengers that flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport were being affected by the weather in and around the national capital. Delhi Airport also stated that several flights had experienced disruptions due to the inclement weather near the airport. The operator said its ground staff are coordinating closely with all stakeholders to minimise inconvenience and maintain smooth operations for passengers.
