604 Modifieds winner Colton Martin of Claremont poses with the checkered flag in victory lane at Monadnock Speedway on Saturday. WINCHESTER — Colton Martin and Tyler Leary split a Modified twinbill Saturday night on the high banks of Monadnock Speedway. Michael Yeaton, a star of the Six Shooter division, won his first ever in the Pure Stocks and then, still warming up, won his second. Fast Eddie, who cut his racing teeth here in the Young Guns, earned his first Pro 4 Modified win at Monadnock. Limited Late Model ace JD Stockwell, rebounding from a forgettable night a week earlier, scored a strong win Saturday to pad his points lead. And in the visiting Mini Cup series, it was Kendal Whitehill powering to another high banks victory lap. Martin, one of 88 graduating seniors earlier in the day at Claremont’s Stevens High School, started up front alongside Cole Littlewood in the first All States Material Group 604 Modified 35-lapper and never looked back. Bringing row-two starter Andy Major with him, he then held the Bay State blaster at bay to score a two-length victory. Eddie Gomarlo, who’d set fast time earlier with a lap of 12.301 seconds, came from row four to claim third at Major’s bumper. Ben Byrne was fourth, and Leary, the speedway’s top Modified points man, was fifth. In the nightcap, Kimmy Rivet and previous 2026 Modified feature winner Joey Jarvis shared row one. After two side-by-side go-rounds, Rivet settled into the top spot but soon, on lap four, had Leary glued to her bumper. Rocketing from the top groove, Leary — who clearly had the top ride in this 35-lapper — took charge on lap six and quickly drove away, as Rivet, Jarvis, and Gomarlo raced under a blanket for the number two spot. With Jarvis and Gomarlo trading third and fourth behind her, Rivet held the deuce until being hung out at the top of the track on a lap-25 restart, with Gomarlo then claiming second, and Martin, charging up from row four, blasting into third in quest of his second victory of the night. Leary, though, would have none of it, storming off to victory just ahead of Gomarlo, while Martin held strong to nip fellow teen Ty LeClerc for third. Major was next, completing his second top-five of the night. Wesley Stedt and Owen Zilinski set up front as the night’s Twin State Truck Services Limited Late Model feature went green. Stedt had the lead until JD Stockwell went by him like a heat-seeking missile on lap four. Stockwell had almost driven off into another time zone when a lap-26 caution brought previous winner Robert Hagar to his door, Refusing to budge the Bay State teen kept both feet on the throttle to score a two-length win over Hagar. With Stockwell winning for the third time this summer, rookie Owen Zilinski finished at Hagar’s bumper in third. Hillary Renaud, the winner a week earlier, was fourth, and Erik Smith came home fifth. The Brattleboro Towing and Recovery Pure Stocks were up first Saturday, squaring off in a 25-lapper held over from last week’s rain-shortened event. Linsey Wenzel was quickly in the lead in the show opener. Jimmy Zellman blasted to the front on lap four but soon had Hudson strongman Chris Quinn glued to his bumper. A lap later, Quinn’s fellow row-four starter Michael Yeaton was up to third and the battle for the top spot was on. Quinn, gunning for his first win on the high banks, took the lead on lap six, with Yeaton second a circuit later. Zooming along the bottom groove on lap 22, Yeaton took the lead and then held Quinn in his shadow to score his first Pure Stock win. Zellman held strong for third, with Markus O’Neil and Josh Brigham fourth and fifth. In the night’s second Pure Stock feature, second-year star Kyle Begos and previous winner Josh Brigham sat up front, Back in row three, Yeaton and Quinn were ready to go again. Begos, bidding for his first win, held Quinn at his bumper, with Yeaton taking over the deuce spot on lap 12. Not relenting, Yeaton’s all-out assault was finally successful as he rocketed low out of turn four to take the lead on lap 16. With Yeaton completing the doubleheader sweep, Begos held strong in the nightcap to hold off Quinn for second. O’Neil and Brigham were again fourth and fifth. When you’ve beaten Rob Richardi Jr. In the LaValley Building Supply Pro 4 Modifieds at Monadnock, you’ve done something to write home about. Fast Eddie — Eddie Petruskevicius if you’re keeping score — did just that Saturday night. Taking the lead when Ryan McPartland’s ride abruptly slowed on lap 14, Fast Eddie then rocketed away to win with ease. Richardi hit the finish line a distant second, with Josh Badach third. McPartland was credited with eighth. Kendal Whitehill ran away with the show in the 603 Mini Cup feature. Starting up front, Whitehill was never tested as he cruised to victory lane. Leo McAdams was second, and Jason Romprey rounded out Saturday’s top three. Monadnock Speedway returns to action next Saturday, June 20. With the track’s huge annual Firecracker 100 event now only two weeks away, on June 27, next Saturday’s full card of NASCAR Local Racing Series action will present Round One of the 2026 Triple Crown Series.
